Where do I find specific information on the requirements for the door’s performance? Smoke and fire resistance, in particular.<BR>

I have a contractor who wants to undercut the doors 1/2” for a pressurized a/c system to push air into the units.<BR>
Naturally, this seems stupid to me, but I need code or standard data to back it up.<BR>
