Scenario Employee in building department obtains license as provisional plans examiner in a specific discipline. Provisional license expires before employee obtains standard license. Employee continues to perform plan review in discipline he/she is not licensed to perform...for more than 2 years. Question Can and should building official be held accountable for allowing person to continue working without proper license? Question Is there a specified time frame (statute of limitations) for filing a complaint with DBPR when something like the scenario mentioned above is brought to light? This message is for discussion purposes only. It is not directed at any specific person or building department. While it is hoped that folks share opinions with DG, please feel free to reply directly to me. Any and all replies will be much appreciated. Thanks.
