After further research MANY HOURS and with the help of the Code King...Joe Belcher...we found the answer @ the DPBR web site and then I followed up with a direct call to DPBR.....YES...HW is REQUIRED in the restrooms because the employees do use the restrooms. They then STILL have to wash thier hands upon entering the kitchen area also..
The Department of Business and Professional Regulation regulates food service establishments such as restaurants, other food service facilities, including temporary events, and mobile vendors that prepare and serve food.
I also found the following by reading about inspections:
Code Description
32-15-1 6-301.14 FC and 61C-1.004(2)(c) FAC:: Handwashing Signage. A sign or poster that notified FOOD EMPLOYEES' to wash their hands shall be posted at all handwashing lavatories used by FOOD EMPLOYEES' and shall be clearly visible to FOOD EMPLOYEES'.
A big THANKS to all that helped with this....
HAPPY HALLOWEEN !!!!!

Exception: In nonresidential occupancies, hot water or tempered water shall be supplied for bathing and washing purposes. The delivery of cold water only shall be permitted to be delivered from all hand-washing facilities except where hot water is required by law.
So where is the hot water required by law

Good day all.........just a quickie for the day.... If a business ( food ) is leasing space and the COMMON AREA restrooms are to be used by all in the same building.....is there anything in the code that states that the restrooms MUST have hot water.... The food business portion has 3 handsinks that do supply hot water for the employees of said food business.
Thanks Bunches
