I have a beach location in Central Florida, east coast, with an existing
storefront/door that leads from the building to the pool deck, and is
corroding.
To replace with like, but obviously newer, components...are permits
required? Or is this considered maintenance/repair?
If permits are required, what information should be presented?

I think I know the answers, but since I¹m assisting in the analysis of an
incident, I want to make sure.
